The desert is something very very different than the ordinary land. It is not soothing like a green forest, not towering like mighty mountains. It do not moist the eyes like refreshing river. Still it is something far more profound. A drive or walk in the desert empties the mind like sand slipping from your fingers. Yet you are aware of the danger that lurks into the sand. You walk cautiously and free at the same time.

Call of the desert

मनाला कशाने समाधान मिळते ? कशानेच नाही. जितके भोगू तितके अधिक हवे. सततची आग भडकलेली , नाविन्याची आस. कारण ? माहित नाही. समाजाने लादलेली मूल्ये, आई बापांनी लादलेल्या सौख्याच्या संकल्पना आणि आतला राक्षस तो काहीतरी वेगळेच सांगतो. पण का कुणास ठाऊक निसर्गात गेले कि सारे काही विरघळून जाते. अगदी शांत वाटते. हजारो ग्रंथांची पाने वाऱ्यावर लहरणाऱ्या एका गवताच्या पानापुढे फिकी पडतात. खळखळ वाहणारे पाणी, वाऱ्यावर डोलणारी फुले, मध्येच वाहत येणारे धुके सर्वकाही आपल्या चादरीखाली झाकून टाकते. मग मी पण रोजच्या अडचणी विसरून त्या वातावरणात हरवून जातो. कुठला तो स्वर्ग, कुठेले ते नरक आणि कुठली ती मुक्ती.
